Gladys Holley Campbell

Gladys Holley Campbell, De Funiak Springs, died Sept. 8, 1998, in Sacred Heart Hospital, Pensacola. She was born in St. Augustine, the daughter of the late John T. and Floria Holley.

From early childhood, she was a member of the First Baptist Church, here, and she was a graduate of Excelsior High School and earned a degree in education from FAMC, now FAMU. She taught for many years in Alabama and Florida.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church, Ponce de Leon, Fla., with the Rev. Charlie Grant officiating.

Those wishing may make a contribution, in her memory, to a favorite charity.

Survivors include her husband, Hubbard Campbell; a son, Corrigan Campbell; two brothers, Joe Holley, Miami, John T. Holley, Yuba City, Calif.; and one grandson. Also surviving are other relatives, including nieces, nephews and cousins.

A sister, Lois Holley Chatwell, preceded her in death.
