Whitney Nolan Hogans

October 9, 1956 ~ April 9, 2015 (age 58) 58 Years Old


Mr. Whitney Nolan Hogans was born in DeFuniak Springs, Florida on October 9, 1956, to the union of the late Nokomis and Lizzie Mae Hogans. He left these earthly toils to his Heavenly reward on April 9, 2015.

Nolan was a lifelong member of Greater Saint Joseph AME Church.

He attended school in the Walton County School District and graduated from the Walton Senior High School in 1975.

He served his country faithfully in the United States Navy and received an honorable discharge on October 14, 1978.

Nolan was preceded in death by his loving parents, Nokomis and Lizzie Mae Hogans; a beautiful sister, Doris Stocker Wilson; two very special brothers: P. Michael Hogans and Timothy Hogans; one sister-in-law: Betty Hogans; two brothers-in-law: Anthony Scott and Sterling Evans.

Nolan leaves to cherish his memories a devoted companion, friend and caregiver, Rhonda Campbell; daughters: Amicia Hogans, Makita Hogans and Marykia Hogans all of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, Whittina (Will) McLily of Manassas, Virginia, Vianca Hogans of Orlando, Florida and Amanda Coleman of Pensacola, Florida; God blessed him with eight grandchildren: Kamal, Kamar and Kierra Robinson, Vhadell Merrill, Kennedy and Will McLily, Tremell Gilbert and Jaylen Johnson; sisters: Gwendolyn Scott of Panama City, Florida, the Reverend Sharion Hogans of DeFuniak Springs, Florida and Belinda Evans of Prattville, Alabama; brothers: Don P. Hogans (Avis) of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, Lorenzo Hogans (Brenda) of St. Petersburg, Florida,  Carl Hogans (Betty) of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, Randall Hogans, Richard Hogans (Gertrude) of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, Darrell Hogans (Gloria) of Hephzibah, Georgia and Delric Hogans of Covington, Georgia; sisters-in-law: Louise Hogans and Shirley Hogans; a host of loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
