Welcome to the memorial page for

Leona Livingston

April 15, 1948 ~ August 19, 2016 (age 68) 68 Years Old

God saw you getting tired,

And a cure was not to be,

So He put His arms around you,

And whispered "Come to me."

With tearful eyes we watched you,

As you slowly slipped away,

And though we loved you dearly,

We couldn't make you stay.

Your golden heart stopped beating,

Your tired hands put to rest,

God broke our hearts to prove to us,

He only takes the best.

Leona Livingston was born 15 April 1948 in Crestview, Florida to the late William and Minerva Livingston. She was the eldest of seven children.

She answered the call of her Lord and Savior on 19 August 2016.

Leona loved the Lord, but was unable to attend church as she would have liked. She was very thankful to the local mission that would frequently visit her to administer the word of God to her. Leona attended and graduated from Caver Hill High School. She worked at the Officers Club at Eglin, AFB, retiring after 26 years due to her failed health.

Leona was a wonderful daughter, mother, grandmother and sister. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She had a sweet spirit that was only matched by her concern for others. No matter how ill she felt, she always greeted you with a smile and kind words. She was preceded in death by her son, Leon (aka Peewee).

She is survived by her sons: Michael (Stephanie) and their children: Carrie, Michael Jr., and Charmaine all of Crestview, Florida; Terry and his children: Desiree, Brad, Andrea and Chyanne all of Crestview, Florida; Jonathan (Rhonda) and their children: Xavier and Lino all of Bo Vicenza, Italy, Dion (Tammie) and their children: Jazelyn and Tierney all of Lawton, Oklahoma; one daughter: Anna (Willie), her caretaker for nineteen years and her children: Cedrick and Felicia all of Crestview, Florida; two great grandchildren: Leona also leaves to mourn four sisters: a special sister (wonderful caretaker) Rosemary, Louise, Margaret and Carolyn (Brian) all of Crestview, Florida; two brothers: Connie and Otis (Charlotte); one aunt: Flossie and uncle, Ray; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
