Pinkie Miller

Sis. Pinkie Miller entered eternal rest July 29, 2014 in Crestview, Florida at Shoal Creek Rehabilitation Center. She was born January 19, 1927 to the late Bro. Ronell and Sis. Elnora Slade Malone in Baker, FL. The second of eleven children, she was the only child that remained in Baker.   She attended Drew High School in Baker and was later employed by the Okaloosa County School Board.

Sis. Miller accepted Christ as her Savior and became a member of Lebanon Baptist Church in September 1940. Her willingness to lend a helping hand greatly benefited the church and the community. On January 2, 1944, she united in marriage with James L. Miller. Their union was blessed with five children; the first born, a son James L. Miller, Jr. preceded her in death. Her loving family remaining to cherish her memory: Linda J. Miller Clark, Baker, FL; Sharon A.   Miller Larry, Port St. Lucie, FL; Tony Miller and wife Beverly, Killeen, Texas and Jeffery C. Miller, Baker, FL; 8 grandchildren, 10 great grand children; one sister, Christine and husband David Smith, Newark NJ; one brother, Donell Malone, Irvington, NJ and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Sister Miller was preceded in death by her parents, son and five sisters: Essie Malone Williams, Minnie Malone Robinson, Eloise Malone Moore, Earnestine Malone Dargan, and Jeanette Malone Bumpars; three(3) brothers: Cleveland Malone, Ronell Malone and Clifford Malone.

                                   If love could have saved you

                                   You never would have died

                                   It broke our hearts to lose you,

                                   But you did not go alone,

                                   For part of us went with you

                                   The day God called you home.
