O blessed hope! Thank you Jesus!
You won victory on the cross,
Over sin, death, and all diseases,
So we don't have to suffer loss.
It's not forever we'll have to wait,
We'll see again our loving friend.
We'll meet again at heaven's gate,
In joy and bliss that has no end.
We pray our friend is gathered sure,
In God's family as His child.
We are the ones left insecure,
In this world where we are exiled.
It's not forever we'll have to wait,
We'll see again our loving friend.
We'll meet again at heaven's gate,
In joy and bliss that has no end.
We thank you God, by grace you bring,
Each one home when you know best.
We pray we all will one day sing,
Your praises in eternal rest.
It's not forever we'll have to wait,
We'll see again our loving friend.
We'll meet again at heaven's gate,
In joy and bliss that has no end.
